New RiffTrax THE REVENGE OF DR. X! With all the great, subtle storytelling you’d expect from a movie written by ED WOOD.
[PERSONAL NOTE: the monster in this movie is absolutely ridiculous, and he/she/it alone makes the movie worth it. But the real star for me is the Doctor’s weird irritability, which comes and goes on a dime. Cheesy magic.
Also: he is never, ever called “Dr. X” in the movie. He has a full name which everyone refers to him by: Dr. Bragan. He is also not a member of the Nation of Islam, as far as I can tell. Mysteries abound!]
